CNY Deco at 1 Utama Shopping Mall at Bandar Utama

Below are some photos taken of the 1 Utama Chinese New Year CNY deco for 2018.

Old Wing:

The deco in the old wing is not as elaborate as the new wing. Below is the decoration taken from the top down:

This year the deco is not as elaborate as previous years but most of the stores are displaying lots of CNY theme clothings and decorations.

Because they have so many shops and also a number of large shops such as AEON (former Jaya Jusco), Parkson, Isetan, Daiso (there are 2 Daisos in One Utama…. one in Old Wing and another in New Wing), Tangs, Cold Storage, Popular, MPH and Kaison- you literally can find all you one in the same complex.

Example at AEON, they have a huge range of clothings sold at affordable price like Tshirts:

CNY items at AEON Jaya JuscoHmmm…. the Tshirts- suitable for guys and gals are reasonable at RM13.90, which is surely cheaper than a number of places.

There are also ample clothes for kids, including the old fashioned clothing- those with a hat and ponytail in ancient China.

I just cannot resist taking the photo above- traditional huge round plates sold in the AEON (top floor where they sell kitchenware, kids clothings and stationeries). The plates above are useful to serve large dishes for family and during prayers, for lou sang as well as to use for Lion Dance. Previously I use to source for Lion Dance for my company and we have to prepare items like pamelo, mandarin oranges and salad.

The offering items are required to be placed in a large dish and those above is most suitable to fit it items. We would buy the plate (previously I bought from Tesco for the same price but I prefer the quality from AEON).

Note: I went to visit One Utama on a weekday and yet the complex is still packed and the parking is literally full. The parking rate is quite reasonable as they change RM1 for the first 4 hours of parking from Monday to Friday which is cheaper compared to most other malls. For weekends/public holidays, it is RM2 for the first 4 hours if not mistaken.

If I visit One Utama on a weekend/PH, I would tend to drive in before 11am so that it is not that difficult to find parking.
