Most shopping complexes and buildings allocate parking bays for disabled people. The problem is, these parking are often taken by inconsiderate and able bodied people- who just park their car in the lots so that they need not walk that far. And disabled people find that they would need to park their cars further away.
I like what AEON Big (former Carrefour) did to solve this predicament. They put up a special notice:
The notice reads that “vehicle without PWD sticker will be clamped. A fine of RM100 will be imposed to release your vehicle.”
Needless to say, the parking spots were not occupied like they were previously were. It’s effective and other establishment should also give this idea a try….
