Carrefour is less crowded these days, mainly because Carrefour has stopped advertising actively in the newspapers. Usually during weekends shoppers would refer to the newspaper to find out the best deals in order to decide which shop or hypermarket to go to. But I’ve not seen Carrefour ads there for a long long time.
Anyway, we visited AEON Big hypermarket (former Carrefour) Subang Jaya recently. I head on to the stationery section on the upper floor and find these good deals on Mandarin books- sold for RM15 or RM18 each:
There are topics on health such as healthy eating, doing simple self massage for healing and massage. I bought a book that gave 3 methods together- acupuncture, guasa and mobustion. I am not able to read Mandarin- but I bought it as a gift for my teacher who take interest in health topics. The best books on Chinese healing are often in Mandarin and sadly went untranslated.
Below, there are also books on general cooking and gardening.
Perhaps you can consider heading on to Carrefour Subang at the 2nd floor (one floor above the grocery) to take a look. There are also other items like room decorative stickers, craft kits and frame stickers being on sale.
