Putu bambu- delicious Malaysian treat

Putu piring is a delicious treat consisting of mixture of rice flour, palm sugar (gula melaka) mixed with salt and pandan leaves are added for taste.

For the above, the items are placed in a bamboo holder and steamed. Below is the finished item that is served with coconut flakes mixed with sugar. Eaten hot, it makes  a real delicious treat:

At a stall, it is sold at 5 for RM2- whereby cocunut flakes (kelapa parut) are provided.
