Famous Air Mata Kucing Stall in KL Chinatown

This air mata kucing or longan drink stall has been around from as young as I could remember. When my mom brought us out and we visited Chinatown or also known as Petaling Street, we would occassionally stop by this stall for a drink. The business is always brisk and the people there would work non stop. We would drink in steel cups which would be quickly rinsed in a pail of water.

Today, things got more modern and disposable. We got the plastic cups- which is better for hygiene but not that environment friendly. Still, the longan drink is always a great thirst quencher after walking especially under the hot sun:

When I asked the lady permission to take photo, she said by all means as many people take their photo and the stall’s photo daily.

Below is the price list of their drink. Do note the photo was taken in January 2012 before CNY and I am not sure if the price is increased after the Chinese New Year:

Cold drink/ hot/ pack back: RM1.50

Cold but with no ice: RM2.00.

Update in Sept 2017: The price has been revised as per below:

When I first started buying the drink, it was only 50 cents but that was many years ago 🙂

The stall even have a branch in Mid Valley Megamall- in one of the kiosk located at the floor right after the car park.

That is why, whatever we choose to sell, we can make it so long as it is consistent and delicious.
