Federal holidays (for all states in Malaysia)
- Deepavali- 17 October 09 (Saturday). Note: Some 5 day week companies issue Monday as the replacement off day.
- Hari Raya Qurban- 27 November 09 (Friday)
- Awal Muharam (Maal Hijrah)- 18 December (Friday)
- Christmas- 25 December 09 (Friday)
State holidays:
- Malacca State Governor Birthday- 10 October 09 (Saturday)
- Sultan of Pahang birthday – 24 October 09 (Saturday)
- Sultan of Selangor birthday- 11 December 09 (Friday)
School Holidays:
21 Nov 09- 3 Jan 2010: For school in all states except Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
20 Nov 09- 2 Jan 2010: For schools in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu
